Description: Photograph of a "dhobi ghat", a large washing area. The clothes and sheets are laid out on the grass while dhobi wallahs attend to them. In the background is a long single storey, possibly a barracks building, which has a covered area on each side fronted by a colonnade with a stone balustrade between pairs of columns.
