Description: Photograph showing a scene of a "dhobi ghat", a large washing area. Strings of washing are blowing in the wind whilst in the foreground, "dhobi wallahs" attend large tubs and work on sloping washboards. In the foreground large sheets are laid out on what looks like grass. In the background is a large dour stone building of unknown use.
