Description
A photograph showing seven graves of those men killed in the fight for Tin Hat Hill. They would have been re-buried in a proper cemetery later. The Bath Herald copy
of this photograph has the caption ‘The graves of 2nd Lieuts Fear & Kitchen and 8 NCO’s & men who fell in the battle of Berukin’.

‘The Road to France’ by Andrew Swift has an index of the Bath men killed in the fight for Tin Hat Hill and it includes Pte Cyril Dyte, 2/4 Somerset Light Infantry, age 26, of Abbey Church Yard, who died on the 9th April 1918 and buried at Ramleh 1st Cemetery, near Jerusalem.
