It could possibly be Private Arthur I Pepler, 2/4th Somerset’s, who died on the 16 May 1915 at Bangalore, age 37. A former Bath Volunteer and plate layer on the Somerset & Dorset Railway, he left a widow, four sons and a daughter. He had been ill for a while. (Bath Chronicle 1 May 1915).
