Clinical Society of Bath and others: The Clinical Society of Bath was founded in 1908 by clinicians working in the Bath area. Its aim was to foster education for established doctors by encouraging discussion of clinical cases and exchange of ideas. The collection also includes a small number of account books, including membership subscriptions, for the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association, Bath District, 1836, later the Bath and Bristol branch of the British Medical Association. It is not clear whether the Clinical Society of Bath was a successor to these bodies or acquired the records by some other means (e.g. overlap of membership).

Description
Records include minutes and correspondence; programmes; rules; membership lists; off-prints of articles written by Dr Snook (1970s); ephemera. Also includes accounts of the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association, Bath District, and its successor the Bath and Bristol branch of the British Medical Association, with names of members, 1836-1876. Note also, of particular interest are World War II records: minutes of the Bath local War Medical Committee and correspondence with the Central Medical War Committee.
