Established in 1984/5 The University of the Third Age in Bath, is an "association offering a wide range of study and leisure activities for those whose days are no longer tied to earning a living." (from the U3A Website).
It currently has about 1600 members (2014), making it one of the largest U3As in Britain. It is run in accordance with its own constitution by a committee elected each year at a general meeting to which all members are invited.
