Description
Relating to the inheritance from Harry Bridges to James Bridges. In Sir Thomas Bridges will only lawful heirs could inherit. As James was illegitimate this discounted him. Harry left everything to James by transference of reversion after the estate tail had run its course. However, George had the estate tail extinguished so he could do what he wished, so Georges heirs inherited most of the estate. Harry’s decedents still inherited the lands given to him by Sir Thomas as part of his marriage settlement.
