This is a very small collection, consisting of two registers of clients' insurance policies, mainly covering the period 1920s to 1950s, but with annotations referring back to 1897 and a register of clients' share-holdings, c.1906-1929.

The name Collins and Hughes, on the cover of the registers of insurance policies, was in use from 1931-1970. The history of the firm can be traced as follows:
