Reciting: Indenture, 20 April 1839 1. Sir Henry Rivers. 2. Edmond Wodehouse, Charles Savill Ontey, Edward Wenman Martin, and John Wright. 3. Robert John Banyon, Thomas Jones Mawe, and John Hall. Whereas the sum of £4000 for which the estates of Dame Martha River Gay were mortgaged, and all interest for the same has been paid. But that the other sums of £6000, £4000, and £4000 were then due and owing. Whereas the Advowson of Walcot had been sold. Whereas Sir Henry Rivers was possessed of a policy of assurance for the sum of £800 on his own life, with the Globe Assurance Company, dated 15 October 1852. Whereas Sir Henry Rivers also possessed a policy of assurance for the sum of £4999 on his own life, in the Norwich Union Life Assurance Co., dated 28 May 1816. Whereas 1. has applied to and requested of 2. to lend him the sum of £10000, to which they have agreed, on the terms that as a security the lands hereinbefore recited, except the Advowson of Walcot, and the life assurance policies so mentioned should be demised by Mortgage for 99 years so long as Sir Henry Rivers should live, and that two new policies of assurance for the sums of £3000 and £1200 on the life of Sir Henry Rivers but in the names of 2. should be taken, and that the sum of £250 should be paid half yearly out of the rents and profits of the said estates to the persons of the 3rd part, to be applied to the payment of the said principle sum.
Premises as previously recited in 0810/1/58-59 and as endorsed thereon, and in 0810/1/79, and other securities as agreed above. Consideration: £10000
Whereas Sir Henry Rivers did not make any payment to the said Robert John Banyon, Thomas Jones Mawe, and John Hall as agreed. Whereas the whole of the principle sum of £10000 still remains due to 1., but the interest thereon has been paid. Whereas 1. has agreed to accept payment of the sum of £10000 and 3. at the request of 2. have agreed to pay the sum of £10000.
Mortgage Debt of £10000 as hereinbefore secured. Consideration: £10000 (5%) from 3. to 1. Also Premises as hereinbefore recited from 1. to 4. as trustee of 3. Also the life assurance policy on the life of 2. with the Norwich Union Life Assurance Co. for £4999, and the life assurance policy on the life of 2. with the Globe Assurance Co. for £3000 from 1. and 2. to 3. Consideration: 10s.

Middlesex, Esq. 4. William Ford, of Gray's Inn, c. Middlesex, Esq. Whereas the principle sum of £10000 is still due, with £136.19.9 arrears of interest. Whereas 3. have agreed to pay the sum of £10136.19.9 to 1.
