Custodial History
The cricket club was set up in 1859 as the Bath Cricket Association by members of the YMCA and played its first matches at Cleverton Down. In the 1870s, the association bought its current site, then water meadows, from the Dule of Cleveland for £200. In 1913 it was renamed Bath Cricket Club.
