Whereas Samuel Herbert died on 1 October 1948, and whereas the sum of £73.10s only now remains due on the before recited mortgage.
Whereas Harriet Herbert having occasion for the sum of £100 to pay off the aforesaid mortgage and to supply her other occasions, has applied to Thomas Glisson to lend her the same, to which he has agreed.

All that piece of Pasture ground (2a.), formerly arable, called Busterd Gate in the Upper Field next to Ellingtons, p. Twerton, formerly let to James Berry and being within a few yards and on the right hand side of the lane leading from Twerton to Englishcombe, bounded north by Glebe land belonging to Twerton Vicarage, south by land late of the said Harriet Herbert, east by a road, and west by the turnpike road from Bristol to Frome, now in occupation of George Driver as tenant. From 1. and 2. to 3.
Consideration: £73.10s from 3. to 1. and £26.10s. from 3. to 2.
