Whereas by a Conveyance, dated 4 December 1916, between Clara Hatch and Frank Howard Hatch of the one part, and Henry John Trude of the other part, Henry John Trude became seised of the four rent charges hereinafter mentioned.
Whereas 1. and 2. have contracted for the absolute sale of the 4 said ground rents at the sum of £130.
Whereas Henry John Lucas is the beneficial owner in fee and possession of the plot of land and dwellinghouse out of which the said rent charges are issuing, it is the intention of the said Henry John Lucas that the said charges should be merged and extinguished.

All those 3 yearly rent charges of £1.6.8 issuing out of 14 Walcot Parade, and all that one further rent charge of £2 also issuing out of 14 Walcot Parade, from 1. to 2.
