Whereas by virtue of the will of Rev. Francis Merewether of Combehay, Clerk, dec'd., dated 25 January 1804, and by reason of the decease of Ann Merewether a sister of the testator and devisee of the said hereinafter described hereditaments under the said will, the said Robert Wetherell and Ann his wife are seised and well entitled to the hereinafter described plot of ground and hereditaments in an estate of the life of Ann Wetherell and her heirs with remainders. Whereas the said Robert Wetherell and Ann his wife have contracted with the said John Jones fro the absolute sale to him of the said messuage and premises in fee simple subject to rents and covenants, for the price of £475.
Plot of ground in the p. of Walcot, lying without the jurisdiction and liberty of the City of Bath, containing in front towards the London Road 20 feet, in depth on each side from the London Road to ground lately belonging to John Morford, dec'd., 128 feet or thereabouts, bounded on the east by ground lately granted to William Morley, Tyler and Plasterer, on the west by ground and buildings lately granted to Job Cottle and Samuel Shepherd, Carpenters, on the north by the said grounds of John Morford, dec'd., and on the south by the London Road. And also the messuage or tenement lately built on the said plot commonly called 14 Walcot Parade, now in the possession of Isaac Orchard as tenant. Said plot of ground and messuage thereon from 1. to 2. for the purpose of creating a perfect tenant of the immediate freehold in order that a common recover might be had by John Jones in the High Court of Chancery for the barring and destruction of the estate tail.
