Reciting: Memorandum of Agreement, 8 June 1791 1. William Townsend 2. John Eveleigh William Townsend agrees to convey to John Eveleigh, in consideration of £70 p.a., all that 1/3 part of lands in p. Walcot (then lately agreed for by William Townsend with Edward Bushell Collibee at the yearly rent of £250, and with James Hooper at the yearly rent of £52.10s), when and as soon as John Eveleigh should have erected so many good and substantial stone and timber messuages whereon ground rents are or may be reserved to the net perpetual sum of £70, which said rents John Eveleigh did agree to pay to William Townsend from 25 March 1792 as well as 1/3 of the rents so due to Edward Bushell Collibee and James Hooper.
Whereas John Eveleigh is indebted to Robert Clement to the sum of £1411.14.6 by Mortgage, and is indebted to William Pollard to the sum of £364.3.6 for goods and wares purchased. Whereas Robert Clement and William pollard have on the date of these presents paid to Richard Hewlett, p. Walcot, Builder, and John Townsend, city of Bath, Silversmith, the sum of £600 the proper debt of John Eveleigh, and the said John Eveleighis also further indebted to Robert Clement and William Pollard in the further sum of £8.8s, the bill for the preperation of these presents paid by them at the request of JohnEveleigh. Whereas Robert Clement and William Pollard have applied for payment of the said debts due to them from John Eveleigh, but he being unprepared to pay the same has requested the consolidation of the said several debts making together the sum of £2384.6s and to take a charge on the before mentioned 1/4 part of lands in p. Walcot.
