Custodial History
James Carpenter set up as a Solicitor in Bath in 1899. He was President of the local branch of the Law Society in 1905, and was Mayor of Bath in 1935/36. His son, Jack, joined the firm in 1935 and finally disposed of the business to Middleton and Upsall of Warminster, c. 1980.
