Description: Minutes of Partis College Library Committee. This was run by the 'ladies' themselves who acted as librarians as well as members of the committee - a librarian's rota is included in the volume. Aseparate 'purchasing committee' bought books for the library from 'remainder lists', these included standard works and biographies. Surplus books were sent to other places including the 'Basingstoke Penitentiary'. Subscriptions to fund the library were collected by the residents but in 1962 a decision was made to scale down the College's own library as not many residents were borrowing books, instead using the public library.
Volume contains Library Statements of Accounts.
Also contains minutes of the Croquet Meeting of 9 July 1931, also run by the residents outlining rules and responsibilities for storage and tidying of hoops and mallets and signing up to play.
