Description
An audio recording on to cassette of a fictional children’s story entitled 'Thief of Bath', written and performed by Tom Stofer. Tom uses the city of Bath and its history for inspiration and the story was specially commissioned for the Bath Primary Schools Arts Festival (1992).

The Bath Primary Schools Arts Festival, which began in 1990, took place every other year and was organised by Weston All Saints Primary School, Broadmoor Lane, Weston. The festival in 1992 was called 'Festival 92' and ran from the 8th-12th June. It took a historical theme looking back at Bath over a period of 500 years, whilst also including an insight into the city's future. It combined the talents of six professional art groups and school children. Tom Sofer provided this special storybook tape.

Side A of the cassette contains Tom’s audio recording of his story ‘Thief of Bath’. The recording is 00:27:11 long and is interspersed with music throughout. Tom’s voice comes in 00:00:10 into the recording.
