Whereas Elizabeth Morris made her will 3 November 1854, bequeathing, amongst other bequests, the residue of her estate to Matthew Harris and appointing him her Executor.
Whereas Elizabeth Morris died on 25 May 1864.
Whereas Matthew Harris made his will 25 August 1864, appointing his son Edgar Matthias Harris and the said John Stone and Richard Poucher Whitfield his Executors, and devising to them all estate vested in him as Trustee or Mortgagee.
Whereas Matthew Harris died on 3 August 1874, his said will being proved by John Stone and Richard Poucher Whitfield only, Edgar Matthias Harris having also died.
Whereas the principle sum of £65 with an arrear of interest is still due and owing.
Whereas John Stone and Richard Poucher Whitfield have agreed with James Riddle for the absolute sale of the premises to him, subject to a term of years, at the sum of £184.

Plot of ground, p. of Monkton Combe, bounded north by land of Henry Fowler Cotterell, west by a private carriage road, south by land of John Payne, and east by a footpath from Bath to Combe Down, and the 2 messuages or tenements thereon known as Ford's Cottages.
