Description
Photograph taken for use in Wessex Water's internal staff newspapers, publications, or other promotional purposes. The photograph shows Wessex Water Authority workmen replacing the eroded bank of the Midford Brook near the Viaduct, Monkton Combe. It was being done to protect the disused railway bridge that was used for the filming of The Titfield Thunderbolt. A note added later in 1981 to one copy of this photograph references that the bridge was demolished.
