Description: See 0312/1/14/8/1 for the survey report conducted by the Wessex Water Authority. The water authorities were required to conduct these surveys by Section 24(5) of the 1973 Water Act by 1978. Shows the flood areas and where solutions can be implemented. This is a copy of the maps in 0312/1/14/8/2, but this version was used by the National Rivers Authority - Wessex Region. It also includes a government circular about the liaison between planning authorities and water authorities regarding development in flood risk areas (2 August 1982), and National Rivers Authority - Wessex Region's procedure in advising on the development in flood risk areas (January 1992).
