Description
1. John Bragge of Sadborow c. Devon [now Dorset], eldest son and heir at law of John Bragge late of the same place, Esq., dec'd, who was the nephew and devisee named in the last will of James Hayne late of Newbury, c. Berkshire, Esq., dec'd, and Ann the wife of the said John Bragge of Sadborow.
2. Charles Gunning of the City of Bath, c. Somerset, Gent., and Daniel Tanner of the same city, Master Builder.
3. William Purlwent of Shepton Mallet, Clothier, a trustee for 2.

Whereas John Bragge has recently agreed with 2. for the absolute sale to them of the closes of ground hereinafter described for a perpetual yearly rent charge of £140.

All those two closes or parcels of ground formerly called Priors Furlong otherwise Holdstock's Garden, p. Walcot, in or near the City of Bath, c. Somerset. The upper of which closes contains 12a.23p, now or lately in the tenure or occupation of William Norman, Gardener, as tenant to John Bragge, and the lower of which contains 7a.1r.21p., now or lately in the tenure or occupation of Robert Holdstock, George Ransome, William Shipp, and George White, Gardeners, as tenants to John Bragge.
Consideration: The perpetual yearly rent charge of £140
Covenant from 2. to 1. to build premises upon the closes of land with the space of 7 years as were set out on the plan endorsed thereto [no plan is available on this copy].
