Whereas a marriage is intended to be had between the parties of 2. and 3.
It is agreed upon and covenanted between the parties, first that William Bragge the Elder in consideration of the marriage and £3000 to be by him received, shall convey all his lands and messuages, in ps. Thorncombe, Broadwinsor, Burstock, and Hawchurch, cs. Devon and Dorset, to the use of himself for life and after his decease to the use of William Bragge the Younger for life, with remainders in tale male. And Secondly that he William Bragge the Elder shall also convey all that capital messuage called Childhay farm, now in possession of Thomas Hallett, the farm called Uphay Farm, and the farm called Lowdoene farm and Pilsdon Mill to Edith Larder and William Bragge the Younger for their maintenance.
