Whereas the parties of 1. purchased the messuage or tenement in Trym Street for the intent or purpose of taking down the said messuage or tenement, and erecting a Chapel or building as place of worship for the assembly of a congregation of Protestant Dissenters, lately assembled at their Meeting House in Frog Lane. Whereas the parties of 1. accordingly caused the said messuage to be taken down and a Chapel to be built, and laid out and expended in said erection the sum of £1531.2s together with the purchase money of £850 a total sum of £2381.2s. In order to repay themselves the said sum they collected and recieved from the members of the aforesaid congregation the sum of £1503.1s Which said sum deducted from the sum of £2381.2s leaves due and owing to Robert Clement, Henry Edward Howse, Samuel Howse and William Basnett the sum of £878.1s Whereas in order to secure the repayment of the said sum, 1. have agreed to assign the premises to 2.
All that Chapel situate in Tryme Street for the residue of a term of 900 years, from 1. to 2. in trust for the repayment of £658.10.9 and interest, being 3/4 of the sum of £878.1, the said Henry Edward Howse having waived his claim to the other 1/4 part of the said sum for the benifit of the said Congregation.
